Exciting new Container Development planned for Thanet

When we saw the plans for the exciting new Container Development planned for Thanet, we could not wait to get involved. ADR have been appointed to support the project from Concept to Completion.

Concept CGI of the new development

The planned construction will be over 2 phases. Up to 160 units shall be constructed on-site, with a primary focus on providing “pop-ups” for SME businesses. This will give them easy access to trading spaces, with very little restrictions. These could range from a cupcake café, barbers to offices etc.

Due to high construction costs and new innovations in architecture, more and more companies are turning to non-traditional facilities to house their business operations. Shipping containers in particular can be very utilitarian and cost-effective.

A selection of creative ideas for Shipping Containers

Shipping containers can provide the space you need to run any kind of small retail business, like a clothing boutique. If you need more space, you can even stack them, like AETHER in San Francisco as seen in the above slideshow.

ADR have recently provided design support to Harbour Coffee in Folkestone with their new expansion plans. This will improve seating facilities, add a roasting shack to produce their very own blend of roasted coffee beans, and rooftop terrace.

The visuals were developed by Lucy@adr-consulting.co.uk to give the team a sense of space and flow.

We enjoy supporting our clients in visualising their dreams and then converting those dreams into reality. It was fun working with the team at Harbour Coffee, developing the plans in 3D and “walking” them through the model. We can not wait to see how it turns out, why not give them a try?

Do you have a project coming up?
