ADR Consulting Engineers are proud to be supporting a new chapter for Dover Technical College, as they drive new skills forward in a local project that’s very close to our hearts.
We first heard about the planned development at Dover Technical College (which is part of EKC Group) some time ago and are now really proud to announce that ADR Consulting Engineers are supporting the first phase of the new Workshop Building within the college’s estate.
What pathways do DTC offer?
Dover Technical College offers a wide range of technical and vocational qualifications that are designed with industry in mind. The College has recently benefitted from funding to grow its new T Level provision which will see exciting new skills being developed for the Dover community that the college serves.

We have been appointed to support the workshop redevelopment from concept to completion which is a very exciting project. As part of our philosophy, we want to ensure that ADR Consulting Engineers act in the most sustainable and efficient manner in everything we do. That’s why we will be utilising the “Be Lean – Be Green” approach for every element of the building services design. We aspire to be industry leaders in new and innovative ways to drive a sustainable, and efficient approach to MEP design and consultancy.
Additionally, both the buildings will be working towards achieving BREEAM “Very Good”. As such, the MEP design will target a number of credits to achieve this. We believe that BREEAM is a great benchmark to work towards, but all buildings should strive to “Be Lean” and “Be Green”.
As Building Services Engineers, we feel it is our duty to drive change within the construction industry when it comes to energy usage. We have the chance to make every project an energy-efficient, sustainable and comfortable environment for the users.
